Welcome to Other Freds!

Other Freds is a large-scale site-specific theatre piece that took place summer of 2005 on and around Granville Island docks and the False Creek waterway. This website is now a place to document the images, music, press, producing company and members of Team Fred. It also serves as a place for us to update you about Fred's future plans. Read on!

What is Other Freds?
Possibly the largest and most audacious site-specific theatre show Vancouver has ever seen. Other Freds is the story of a lonely fella named Fred and all of the Other Freds in nearby parallel worlds. Besides a core of professional actors and musicians there are 200+ community members involved in the show, plus two dozen boats, birds and bicycles.

Other Freds is about chance, fate and the possibilities that await us and our city in parallel worlds.

Where:
The show started inside the Arts Club Theatre, Granville Island Stage. After the first scene the show moved outside.

When:
Other Freds premiered July 11th-23rd, 2005. Will Fred live again? Stay tuned for more information.

To whom:
Other Freds played to a combined audience of 2500 Vancouverites and visitors, over its 12-performance run.
